At Optumatics, we are dedicated to providing virtual engineering services that optimize your design process and outcomes. Our name reflects our core values of excellence, efficiency, and innovation.
We combine optimization with -matics, which is a suffix that denotes a system of methods or principles in a field of study. We use advanced methods and principles of virtual engineering to help you create better products faster and cheaper.
Optumatics is more than just a name, it’s a promise. We also strive to meet the needs and challenges of emerging technologies in our target industries such as automotive, aerospace, and energy.
We are always ready to adapt and evolve with the changing demands of the market and the customers.
Dr. Sherif Eltahry is the Co-founder/CEO of Optumatics. Previously, Dr. El Tahry spent nearly 30 years at General Motors, both in R&D and Powertrain. While in R&D, he was in charge of developing GM’s competency in the field of Thermosciences.
Dr. El Tahry received his Masters and PhD from Imperial College before joining GM.
The Late Dr. Hazem Ezzat, who cofounded Optumatics, had 40 years of experience in industrial R&D and math-based engineering and product development. Prior to cofounding Optumatics, he was Director of Powertrain Systems Research at the General Motors R&D Center in the US; he also served as Chief Scientist of several of GM’s operating groups including GM Europe.
Collectively, our Advanced Engineering team has over a century of combined experience in the development and application of scientific software development to the automotive industry.
Our team has had numerous scientific/technical papers published in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Journal and has presented to the SAE World Congress.
Our advanced dev team subdivision has spent the past eight years developing and adding features to Thermatics, our comprehensive vehicle environment simulation tool. One of the world’s largest automotive OEMs currently uses a white-label version of Thermatics in support of its vehicle design and development activities. Our software has been applied in the design of over 100 vehicles and saved millions of dollars for our users by reducing inefficiencies relating to the vehicle design process.
Optumatics was founded in 2009 when the founders decided to transfer their experience into the Egyptian market. During the first couple of years our team managed to engage with international R&D departments in the aerospace and automotive industries. With an in house CFD solver and FVM thermal analysis tool Optumatics continued to provide customers a constant support and achieve many success stories.
Optumatics addresses the increasing demand for skilled high-quality CAE and technical services, while meeting industry’s pressing need for continued control of structural cost. The company is dedicated to supply its customers with quality responsive technical support.
Optumatics works with customers through flexible engagement models to develop and optimize engineering and technical solutions and offers dedicated engineering skills that may be needed to extend our customers’ internal capability.
